8mm toughened glass is made by putting 8mm float glass after edge grinding into tempering furnace and with heating to ove 700 degree to glass soft point and then suddenly cool down by a strong wind jet. causing the surface into compression whereas the inner side still in tension status, this treatment can make the glass strength increase 5 times more and not easy to break. even when it breaks, the glass will shatter into small pieces with obtuge angles which will do no harm to human beings.
